Free All Political Prisoners
TFDP is calling on the Government to release all political prisoners now. These are not criminals. Political prisoners are men and women of conviction who have fought for social change and for the benefit of the marginalized people.
As of December 2021, based on TFDP’s documentation, there are 271 Political Prisoners and Political Detainees languishing in Jails around the country.
Protect Human Rights Defenders
The Task Force Detainees of the Philippines (TFDP), a mission partner of the Association of Major Religious Superiors in the Philippines (AMRSP), respectfully submit this position paper to the House of Representatives Committee on Human Rights to support the enactment of a comprehensive and effective law for the recognition and protection of human rights defenders (HRDs) in the Philippines.
Never Again to Martial Law
The Task Force Detainees of the Philippines (TFDP) vow to never let martial law happen in the country again. In “Remember Repression…Remember Courage…Remember Resistance – A Gathering of Human Rights Defenders”, victims of human rights violations during martial law recalled their experiences during the Marcos dictatorship.
